17U WIN PHILADELPHIA INVITATIONAL 2009 BOYS - PHASE 2

  Mid Atlantic Select's 17U won the Philadelphia Invitational 2009 Championship defeating Cutino Mobley's sponsored team "Philly Pride". The 16U lost a tough one in the Final Four. They lost to a team they had beaten in pool play earlier. The 17U and 16U won their pools. The 17U finished 2-1 in pool play and 5-1 overall. The 16U finished 3-0 with a dominating performance in pool play and 4-1 overall.

SPRINGBROOK WINS BACK TO BACK MARYLAND 4A CHAMPIONSHIP

Springbrook High School, located in Montgomery County finished 27-0 to become the first 4A team to repeat as Maryland State Champions in 41 years. Lead by Mid Atlantic Select players Jamel Olasewere, Zaid Hearst,  and past Mid Atlantic Select player Jeremy Williams,  Springbrook defeated Henry A. Wise High School from Prince Georges County 73 to 61. Springbrook High School hopes to continue its' winning tradition next year with returning Mid Atlantic Select players Samni Ogunjobi, Jarid Watson and Zaid Hearst.

MID ATLANTIC SELECT PLAYER SELECTED TO ALL CONFERENCE TEAM

Congratulations to Rodney Glasgow, Point Guard for Good Counsel High School and Mid Atlantic Select AAU Basketball. He was selected to the WCAC All Conference 3rd Team.

"CAPITAL CLASSIC" INVITES TWO MID ATLANTIC SELECT PLAYERS

CONGRATULATIONS TO SPRINGBROOK HS FOR GOING 22-0

   Congratulations to Mid Atlantic Select Players Jamal Olasewere, Zaid Hearst and Samni Ogunjobi of Springbrook HS for completing a 22-0 regular season record. Springbrook will try to repeat as 4A state champions and will host a playoff game on 3/2/09 at 7pm. Good Luck to all Mid Atlantic Select players in the upcoming playoffs.
